Favorite TV Show
I would say that I do not really have a favorite TV show series at the moment. I watch a lot of different shows that are pretty popular on Netflix, but I do not know which one would be my favorite at the moment. I haven't really been watching a lot of shows lately though, so I'm not really sure. Instead, I guess I will use this blog post to talk about my favorite TV shows as a kid. When I was in elementary school and middle school, I used to love Disney shows or Nickelodeon shows like The Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, iCarly, Drake and Josh, Zoey 101, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, Victorious, Shake it Up, and so many other similar shows. I feel like these shows were some of the better shows that Disney and Nickelodeon had. I have heard that the new TV shows on Disney and Nickelodeon nowadays are not as good as they were when we (early 2000s kids) were growing up. I feel like looking back at these TV shows now though, they are kinda cheesy or childish, but at the time when I was a kid, these kinds of TV shows were super interesting to me. Some of my friends and I sometimes will watch old episodes from these TV shows on Disney Plus or other applications just because these shows just seem to remind us of our childhood, and they bring back memories back to when life was good as a kid.
I totally agree with you in saying that there's no one best show. In my blog post I said the same thing and tried talking about only one of my favorites, but I really enjoyed how you talked about more then one of your favorite shows.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Wizards of Waverly Place. I still think it's a great show, no matter how cheesy or cringey it is sometimes. I think these shows were just as bad as we think the new Disney and Nickelodeon shows are, but since they're nostalgic for us, we'll never see them that way.
ReplyDeleteI agree 100000% - perfectly said
DeleteWizards of Waverly Place, iCarly, and Drake & Josh hold a very special place in my heart!
ReplyDeleteI totally relate to the nostalgic feel of these TV shows we watched as kids. While I don't want to watch every episode, they remind me of a time where I wasn't crushed under piles of homework.
ReplyDeleteI rewatched Victorious early quarantine, and it is still as good as I remembered it. The soundtrack is still an absolute banger, and I still don't like Tori Vega. I agree with you that I heard Disney and Nickelodeon shows aren't as good anymore, but I wonder if that's just our generation saying, "They don't make shows now like they did back in our day."
ReplyDeleteHannah Montana and iCarly definitely played a huge role in shaping my childhood, and I feel sorry for kids today that they won't get to experience the thrill of seeing the best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteNot gonna lie, I actually watched iCarly for some reason, I think it was because my older sister watched it constantly and hogged the TV.
ReplyDeleteI know all of these because my kids watched them!
